The international seminar Cartoon Digital in Ghent will welcome animation professionals to explore the latest developments on digital animation and connected screens.

The objectives are to enlighten and inspire producers on the new digital developments (besides TV and linear programmes) that they could embrace creatively to make new and innovative programmes with new partners.

The 2018 conference will gather 25 international speakers from the animation, game, publishing and online worlds to help producers create, connect and expand their multiplatform content.

  • Marc Goodchild, Head of Digital Content Strategy and Product at Turner EMEA, will be the Keynote speaker of this year’s edition
  • Global trends for Kids’ Entertainment in Europe (Dubit research)
  • Successful case studies of digital partnerships with book publishers and game companies (Bayard Group, Sybo Games, Aardman, DigiXart, btf, Tikra Knyga…)
  • New ways to retain audiences on TV networks and the creation of European OTT platforms (Ketnet/VRT, RAI Ragazzi, Turner EMEA…)
  • Financing digital content from private investors (La Fabrique des Formats, IPR.VC)
  • Virtual Reality and on-going VR animation productions (Michel Reilhac, ATLAS V)
  • Online distribution and creating mobile apps (DOCO Digital, Wonderz)
  • Digital rights management (TBC Lee & Thompson)
  • Animation in Flanders (Lunanime, Walking The Dog)
  • Registration fee: 400 EUR (+VAT) > The fee includes accreditation, 2 dinners (Welcome and Farewell), 3 lunches and 5 coffee breaks.


  • If you are a citizen of one of the following countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Serbia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tunisia & Ukraine), you may benefit from a scholarship in order to participate in the Cartoon Master
  • CARTOON will cover hotel (3 nights from 13th to 16th November) and meals, and refund up to a maximum of 200 EUR for transportation expenses.
