MONSTRA 2015 is launching call for submissions.

The 15th edition of MONSTRA – Lisbon Animated Film Festival 2015 will take place from 12 to 22 March 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal.

The main aim of Lisbon Animated Film Festival is the presentation and promotion of the world’s best animation. This year’s festival edition includes competition, retrospectives, workshops, master classes, exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects.

The Competition Categories are:

  • Feature Films, which should be longer than 45 minutes (works completed after 1 January 2012);
  • Short Films and TV Series, which should be no longer than 30 minutes (works completed after 1 January 2013);
  • Student Films, which should be no longer than 30 minutes (works completed after 1 January 2013);
  • Super-Short Films, which should be no longer than 2 minutes (works completed after 1 January 2014).

Furthermore, any work created frame by frame, in any technique (analogical, digital or mixed) will be accepted for competition.

The animated sequences must correspond to at least 50 % of the total film length. Works previously submitted to this Festival will not be considered eligible.
