Mexican film: La Revolución de Juan Escopeta

 La Revolución de Juan Escopeta is a feature film produced by Aeroplano Films & Animex Estudios. Jorge A. Estrada directs and co-writes the script, along with Alfredo Castañeda.

 The synopsis has a 11-year-old boy, Gapo, who lives in a small village during the Mexican Revolution. After an unexpected incident, he decides to leave and look for his elder brother Damien, a revolutionary hero. But he is not alone. He is accompanied by Juan Escopeta. Watch the film trailer:

 

The film premiered in Mexico in November 2011, and has screened in national cinemas since, but still waits for an international distribution. Visit the official Facebook page for more updates.
