Cinanima, 11-17 November, Espinho: Call for entries

cinanima2013The 37th edition of the Cinanima festival in Portugal invites call for entries.


Cinanima festival (Espinho, Portugal) is one of the most prestigious European animation festivals, being one of the participant festivals for the Cartoon D'Or award.


Its 2013 edition (11-17 November) will again feature an international competition for animated films in the following categories:


  • Short films (3 subcategories)
    • up to 5 min
    • 5-24min
    • 25-50 min
  • Graduation films
  • Commisioned films
  • Feature films (more than 50 min.)


The national competition section includes

  • the prize Antonio Gaio contest
  •  the prize young Portuguese director
    a. Films directed by children and young people up to 18 years old
    b. First film of young directors (between 18-30)


Eligible films should have been completed after January 1st, 2012.


No submission fee is required.  Deadline: 12th July 2013.
