BAFTA British Short & Feature Animation: Call for entries

bafta-awardsEntries are now open for directors and producers to submit their animated shorts & features to the 2015 BAFTA awards.

 

BAFTA's Animated Feature and British Short Animation categories at the EE British Academy Film Awards celebrate and reward animated features and innovative and experimental animated shorts respectively.

For a film to be considered for the Animated Feature category, it must be primarily animated throughout the majority of the length of the film and has a significant number of animated major characters.

 

Films must be released theatrically in the UK within BAFTA's Awards year: 1 January to 31 December 2014.

 

No more than three films will receive nominations for this award, and it will not usually be presented if fewer than eight animated features have been entered.

The British Short Animation category is open to British productions only, which include UK key animation and creative talent,  of no more 40 minutes in duration.

 

Eligible films include films completed between 1 June 2013 and 29 October 2014.

 

Previously entered films are not eligible, and neither are eligible entries that are part of a television programme/series, feature film or music promotional video.

 

Films in a language other than English may only be submitted with English subtitles, or in an English language version.

 

Three films will be nominated forthe BAFTA British Short Animation Award.
