|88 Films for CINANIMA 2014|

For nine days, the Selection Jury for the38th edition of Cinanima , constituted by Paula Tavares (Portugal), Carlos Fernandes (Portugal) and Sébastien Watel (France), viewed 1300 films, from 63 countries, in a total of more than 150 hours.
The International Competition will present 60 short films and 4 feature films.
The feature category involves the Annecy-screened feature Until Sbornia do us part (Até que a Sbórnia nos separe, Otto Guerra, Ennio Torresan Jr), and the Estonian puppet feature Lisa Limone and Maroc Orange: a rapid love story (Mait Laas).
It also features the Annecy-awarded The Boy and the World (Ale Abreu, also from Brazil), and a retelling of Czech history via Pavel Koutsky's The Hussites (Czech Republic).
Two Portuguese films figure in International Competition, side by side with films made by renowned directors such as Priit and Olga Parn, Roberto Catani and Konstantin Bronzit, among others, in the run for the Grand Prize CINANIMA 2014.
The National Competition will present 28 films divided in two different awards: 11 films compete for the António Gaio Award and 17 compete for the Young Portuguese Director Award.
The 38th edition of CINANIMA will be held from the 10th to the 16th of November in Espinho, Portugal.
