Amarcort Film Festival, the international short movie contest in Rimini, Italy,  celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Amarcort Film Festival is the unique short movie festival inspired by and dedicated to Federico Fellini and it takes place in his hometown.

It is organized by Associazione SMArt Academy, in collaboration with Associazione SMArt Lab. It invites films finished after January 2015 in seven competition sections:

  • "Amarcort": international fiction and documentary short films, whose maximum running time is 30 min;
  • "Gradisca": international all genres short films, whose maximum running time is 5 min;
  • "Fulgor": only for local authors' international all genres short films, whose maximum running time is 20 min.
  • "Rex": international animated short films, whose maximum running time is 20 min;
  • "Aldina": international all genres short films, by students film school, whose maximum running time is 15 min;
  • "Gironzalon": international experimental short films, whose maximum running time is 10 min;
  • "Cantarel": international musical videoclip, whose maximum running time is 5 min.

 

In the 2016 edition more than 170 movies were selected. Amarcort Film Festival has also a competitive section for screenplay writers: the "Grand Hotel" category.
