reanimania2016-portrait-logoThe Armenian festival aims to establish a permanent market and professional animation education center in the region.

ReAnimania International Animation Films and Comics Art Festival of Yerevan started in 2009 with a vision to "reanimate" a tradition of animation in Armenia going back over 70 years, and to put Armenia on the world animation map.

Festival's mission is to create a platform that enables internationally recognized artists and local talents to collaborate creatively.

Vrej Kassouny, founder and artistic director of ReAnimania, tells Zippy Frames: We want to expand and create a MARANI (Market of Animation) in the region, and support in creating an animation professional education for those over 18 years old.

We need to create a sustainability in the future market of animation in Armenia and the region.

With all those talk of creative industries in recent years, the request is well founded, especially in a festival that caters for artistic quality at the utmost level.
