JAPIC 2016 Animation Residency: Open for Entries

japic2016Once more the JAPIC programme helps animators in their early stage of their career to have a Tokyo residency and complete an animation project.



This project, organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan (Bunka-cho), is an artist in residence program that provides three outstanding young animation artists from around the world with an opportunity to come to Tokyo and create new works while directly interacting with Japanese animation culture.


It aims to promote both the creation of excellent works of animation and a better understanding of Japanese culture.

3 applicants will be selected to stay in Tokyo for 70 days between January 7th and March 17th, 2016, and create a short animation project.
