Festival Description:

Associazione SMArt Lab, in collaboration with Associazione SMArt Academy, with the ptronage and support Regione Emilia Romagna and Comune di Rimini, promotes the 13th Edition of Amarcort Film Festival, international short movies contest which will take place in Rimini (hometown of Fellini) in November. Amarcort is part of AFIC (Associazione dei Festival Cinematografici Italiani) and FEDIC (Federazione Italiana dei Cineclub). The festival is dedicated to Fellini and is the only one in the world.


2020 Call for entries 

Amarcort Film Festival 13th edition is open to all filmmakers presenting digital short movies.

Festival sections:

  • "Amarcort": international fiction and documentary short films, whose maximum running time is 30 min;
  • "Gradisca": international all genres short films, whose maximum running time is 5 min;
  • "Fulgor": only for local authors' international all genres short films, whose maximum running time is 20 min.
  • "Rex": international animated short films, whose maximum running time is 15 min;
  • "Aldina": international all genres short films, by students film school, whose maximum running time is 20 min;
  • "Gironzalon": international experimental short films, whose maximum running time is 10 min;
  • "Cantarel": international musical videoclip, whose maximum running time is 5 min;
  • "Home Made Movie": Amarcort Film Festival adheres to the initiatives promoted during this quarantine period extended to all countries of the world. For authors who will make a short film directly at home, we have reserved a special category: the "Home Made Movie". We accept films of any kind, lasting up to 10 min. (The direction of the Festival reserves the right to cancel this section if the quality level of the works presented does not guarantee the standard of the Festival)

ALDINA"Technical Jury" award - best fiction students short film (€ 300 and Plaque);
GIRONZALON"Technical Jury" award - best experimental short film (Plaque);
CANTAREL"Technical Jury" award - best musical videoclip (Plaque);
HOME MADE MOVIE"Technical Jury" award - best short film (€ 300 and Plaque);

Participation fee is € 6,50 for each author.
