Coronavirus crisis response: Festival Statement

On Monday 9 March we closed the submissions for the 2020 MalatestaShort Film Festival. We received 640 films, thus we thank the authors for the great participation! In compliance with the decree issued by the Italian government regarding the containment of the COVID-19 virus on the entire national territory, we decided to postpone the festival to a date to be set, but within the year.
We will of course be continuing with the planning of the festival, starting from the selection of films in competition and the other activities necessary to the realization of the event. Being able to meet in videoconference and discuss about the films makes us feel active and prompts us to continue in this wonderful project we believe in, joining many associations that contribute in their small way to giving signs of cultural and social resistance.
Keep on following us!
