}Watch the Oscar-nominated short film, The fantastic flying books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a hybrid short film/interactive book and iPad app by renowned author and illustrator William Joyce and co-director Brandon Oldenburg.

Produced by Moonbot Studios, it has a Wizard of Oz feel. Due to a hurricane, Mr. Lessmore is transported from his initial room to a world of books and literature.

The film is among the 5 Oscar-nominated films for best short animated feature. William Joyce reacted to the nomination news: "We made Morris Lessmore with passion, sweat and every nickel we could rub together".

In tandem with the film, Moonbot Studios also created a best‐selling, interactive "Morris Lessmore" iPad App available on iTunes, and is also working on a hard copy book version of the story with Simon & Schuster, due out in late 2012.
