Monoclub Animation event, Chile

Find out the free online activities of Monoclub networking, Latin American event (4-27 May 2022).

The first cycle of  Monoclub Chilean-Latin American Animation Film Club will begin on 4 May. With the help of CHILEMONOS, the Monoclub networking event reaches the entire community with free activities during the month of May, in order to promote the development and dissemination of knowledge of the different areas that make up animated production.

Talk “Animated videoclips by Chilean directors” (face-to-face: Universidad Santo Tomás, campus San Joaquín) Guests: Diego Cumplido, Leo Beltrán, Matías Barquez

Friday 13th of May, 19.00 – 20.30 hrs. (Chile)


Talk “Latin American Stop Motion”. Guests: Kike Ortega (Chile), Luis Téllez (México), Bacho Lobianco (Argentina).

Thursday 19th of May, 11.00 – 12.30 hrs. (Chile)
Workshop “Screenplay for shows” (face-to-face: Universidad Mayor, campus Santiago) by Done by Javiera Risco (Chile)

Friday 20th of May, 19.00 – 20.30 hrs. (Chile)
Workshop “Rigging with AdvancedSkeleton” by Gabriel Salas (Chile). 

Friday 27th of May, 11.00 – 12.30 hrs. (Chile)
Workshop “Storyboard and its creation process” by Paco Sáez (Spain). 

Friday 27th of May, 19.00 – 20.30 hrs. (Chile)


Talk “WIP: Chilean animated features” / Guests: Germán Acuña (La veta del diablo), Marianne Mayer-Beckh (Winnipeg, el barco de la esperanza) and Cecilia Toro (Pangui).

 All together with these events, there are also going to be screenings in ONDAMEDIA, the official streaming platform of Chilean cinema, in which there are going to be monthly cycles of short films that have a common theme among them.

All of these activities will be transmitted online through a Zoom Webinar, with the dates and times indicated for each one. Access to all the events is free, but it’s necessary that you enroll. Upon registration, each participant receives an email with access to the transmission.
