Festival Description
A true showcase dedicated to French production, the 32nd edition of the Rennes Métropole National Animation Film Festival will take place from 7 to 12 April 2026! With its abundant programming, the Festival offers audiences of all ages and professionals in the animation film industry: film screenings, meetings with film crews, previews, manufacturing secrets, practical workshops, professional meetings and festive evenings.

PROFESSIONAL SHORT FILMS
Requirements:
1) Films completed after November 2024 ( 18 months before the Festival on-going edition)
2) Maximum duration: 45 minutes maximum
3) Country of production: France (at least 30% produced in France, in case of an international co-production)
STUDENT SHORT FILMS
Requirements:
1) Films completed after November 2024 ( 18 months before the Festival on-going edition)
2) Maximum duration: 45 minutes
3) Country of production: France (at least 30% produced in France, in case of an international co-production)
MUSIC VIDEOS
Requirements:
1) Films completed after November 2024 ( 18 months before the Festival on-going edition)
2) Maximum duration: 15 minutes
3) Country of production: France (at least 30% produced in France, in case of an international co-production)
SELF-PRODUCED SHORT FILMS
1) Films completed after November 2024 ( 18 months before the Festival on-going edition)
2) Maximum duration: 15 minutes

TV SHOWS AND SPECIALS
WORKSHOP FILMS
To submit a workshop film (made in an amateur or collective setting), registration must be completed on the Zone Festival platform before Monday, January 5, 2026.
The selected films will be presented in a panoramic format at the Festival.
